Message from Rosie King CEO

It’s hard to believe that we are already half way through the year! And of course, with the colder weather it really feels like netball season! A big congratulations to Sunshine Coast Lightning for winning the inaugural premiership of Suncorp Super Netball (SSN). I would also like to note the amazing performances from both Giants Netball and Magpies Netball who also made it into the finals, as well as the amazing efforts from the Melbourne Vixens to get to the Preliminary Final. Now to take it one step further in 2018!

It is interesting to now sit back and reflect that a third of the players, officials, umpires and coaches within SSN are from the Netball Victoria pathway. This is a great achievement and one that everyone in netball across the state should be proud of. Congratulations to everyone involved and also Netball Australia for the introduction of the new league.

I would also like to congratulate everyone that was involved in the recent Association Championships. Some high-quality netball was on show throughout the entire competition. Thank you to all our host Associations for their time, effort and dedication in making this competition so successful. This competition would not be possible without your support and assistance. Our focus now turns to the Schools Championships which are fast approaching. Good luck to all participants!

Split Payments

Netball Victoria will be testing MyNetball Split Payments functionality between July and November 2017 with a select test pilot group.

We are excited to be working alongside a volunteer group of Associations and Clubs who will assist in our trials. Our aim is to further develop a system that will be netball specific and provide essential data that supports our members, their netball experience, pathways and assists in administering netball for all levels within our state body.

What are Split Payments?
When members register online, the split payments process enables the online payment to be split into the management groups it has been assigned. This will enable payment to be split between Club, Association (if applicable) and Netball Victoria.

We value the opinions of our affiliated associations and their members which is why we are currently requesting your feedback via a number of surveys.

We understand this may have caused additional traffic to your email accounts but if you haven’t already made your contribution to the surveys and provided your feedback, it is not too late.

SEDA College Victoria recent communications

Netball Victoria (NV) in conjunction with SEDA College Victoria (SEDA) recently communicated by letter to a number of NV junior members, regarding the Netball Victoria Sports Development Program offered by the college.

After receiving feedback regarding the direct communication with this segment, we have decided to commence a review of our communications practices and general management of personal data.

Netball Victoria understands the importance of data management and takes our responsibility in this area very seriously. We also appreciate the concern of the parent who contacted us, and their feedback will help us further improve our processes.
