Dean Rice is Moving on

Dean Rice has accepted a newly created position in the South East Region as Football Development Manager, bringing to close his five year tenure with the AFL Yarra Ranges.


Rice, who has been with the AFL Yarra Ranges since Jan 2013, has been instrumental in growing participation across the region in areas such as Auskick, Coaching and Schools. Some of Deans key achievements in the time include the delivery of two AFL Club Community camps in the region, increased Auskick numbers, the development of a new centre Menzies Creek Primary School, Successful V-Line programs and the introduction the very successful Auskick Gala Day Transition program from Auskick to Junior Clubs.


Dean leaves a strong legacy in the region in Female Football, being a key driver of what is now the Eastern region Girls Competition. His work in facilitating the transition and development of the V-Line cup program and forming a partnership with Eastern Ranges to become a talent program. 



Dean finishes with the AFL Yarra Ranges at the end of October. The Commission & staff at AFL Yarra Ranges thank him for his work in the region and wish him and his family all the very best in the future.
