It is with a great sense of appreciation and a hint of sadness that I inform you of the resignation of Administration and Events Coordinator Gayle Seeger.

The Wandin Football Club Life Member began working in her role during June of 2013, when the league was known as the Yarra Valley Mountain District Football Netball League (YVMDFNL). Over the course of her tenure Gayle has seen the league and its Commission change its name on multiple occasions to both the AFL Yarra Ranges and its current title, the AFL Outer East.


Gayle’s willingness to support the rest of her staff mates, whenever they required a hand within their own roles, especially around the high traffic times such as Finals time, in any way, shape or form will be missed.


Gayle’s favourite memory of her five and a half years with the League has been her involvement within the Inter league program, once again showcasing her passion for the area. Outside of her work within the football and netball communities, Gayle is also a valued member of the Wandin Country Fire Authority(CFA).


Gayle’s departure from her role will see the introduction of two new roles within the AFL Outer East, Commercial and Operations Manager and Finance Manager. Cameron Hutchison will transition into the Commercial and Operations role, which will see Cameron manage commercial partnerships, inventory of apparel/merchandise and sponsorship, along with his current management of the Senior competitions.


On behalf of everyone at AFL Outer East I would like to personally thank Gayle for all her hard work, dedication and passion she has shown for our region. She will be greatly missed by us all and we wish her the very best in her future endeavours.



Gayle finishes up with AFL Outer East on Friday 21st December. The role of Finance Manager, will be advertised in the next few days.
